Take Candy From Strangers!

A huge recommendation on my part is the hilarious show,'Strangers With Candy'.The series is now finished but never aired in the UK or Ireland.Originally aired on the US Comedy Central Network,the show had developed a huge cult following and after three series,it spawned a prequel movie of the same name.Amy Sedaris stars as Jerri Blank,a 46 year old high school student,who after spending 32 years as a teenage runaway returns home and goes back to highschool!The show was inspired from after school specials and makes fun of them with Jerri normally learning a lesson in each episode.As she says herself,'Second time around Im still doing the wrong things,but at least Im doing them the right way!'.Surrounded by a wacky ensemble class and over the top story lines you will grow addicted to the show and the movie.Seriously check it out!!

Hilary Duff Update

Hilary Duff will now release a new album in 2008 rather than promote another single of her album,'Dignity'.The album which was far better than her previous albums did pretty well sales wise but did not match her previous efforts.The new album will include the first single,'Reach Out' - a cover of the Depeche Mode track.The track can be heard from a recording of her concert on youtube but is MQ.She is also appearing in the movie 'War Inc.' as a european pop star turned terroist and the kids movie 'Food Fight' alongside her sister Haylie Duff and Eva Longoria.More updates soon.

When some people think of Rachel Stevens an immediate thought of the S Club era comes to mind.Others immediatley think of a modern pop electro princess who makes music albums full of genius pop gems and throws out fashion forward trends [those gloves literally have a following!] and classy videos.Her debut album,'Funky Dory' spawned a few hits but overall was a poor album.However is sold well ans Stevens recorded her follow up,'Come And Get It'.An Amazing Album.From the shiver inducing opener,'So Good' to the stunning,'Crazy Boys' and 'I Will Be There',Stevens glides through the electro world of pop with ease and overall the album has no fillers - a feat in todays music albums.Other highlights include the mega hit,'Some Girls','Negotiate With Love','Dumb Dumb' and 'Secret Garden'.Produced mainley by the genius Richard X and the amazing Xenomia writing team [Girls Aloud,Sugababes etc.' Stevens album is a must but for any pop,electro,dance fan.Come And Get It!

Shoplifters!

Well They're back!Its the West End Girls.The girls have been working on their 2nd album and there's been a few changes . . . Their new single,'What Have I Done To Deserve This,[another pet shop boys cover] will be released in Feb/March and will be a duet with Swedish singer Magnus Carlson.Then two singles will follow,which are both specially written by the Pet Shop Boys themselves!Then the album will follow and is called 'Shoplifters'! and features other original songs and they've also worked with other well known people although its all hush hush now!Intresting. . .the single will be posted here asap.

Sally Shapiro
